S.T.E.P. – Stop Taking Everything Personal ~ Now

Pangs of horror and grief strike our hearts as we learn the current news of the ruinous earthquake in Haiti, yet vexed even more to hear some religious leaders reference this heart-breaking event as the “wrath of God.” When we then hear others declare the tragedy that crushed Haiti as “not made by God but by man,” we are reminded of the contrast our world is made of.   Though we may laugh, we all know this is no laughing matter. We acknowledge regardless what name or names we choose to call God, we reference the Mystery, the all prevailing energy, in and through ALL things.  We know the devastation and wreckage in Haiti mirrors the calamity in our own lives. With countless people out of work, money scarcity issues, and perhaps our standard of living changes and the future uncertainty in our own nation, we cannot deny the earthquake erupting inside each of us.  Perhaps this catastrophe awakens us to our own personal despair and destruction.


In response, we choose now, to live justly, to stop blaming, judging and being the victim, recognizing there is no ‘God-man’ in the sky judging us or punishing us, but rather each and every one of us is responsible for the outer expression of our own lives. When we don’t like what we see, we respond to the call, knowing all circumstances exist only by our permission.

 

As children of the stars, we choose now to trust that the Power within also holds the planets and stars in space, looking for the gifts in all things, even those which seem too terrible to bear.  

Haiti offers the perfect example. The outer appearances seem too terrible, beyond our ability to comprehend; yet, the images of death, the faces of innocent children and those who are scared and weeping, burn deep inside each of our hearts, igniting and fanning our once too cool embers into flames of love and compassion there. Millions are praying and giving from those flames. From these growing flames, millions of dollars are pouring in from every corner of the world, in order to support the recovery and rebirth of this precious stricken island population, to equip and assure Haiti’s ability to thrive. Like Haiti, we will flourish when we begin to see the goodness emerging from our devastations. 

 

Therefore, we vow now, to step up, Stop Taking Everything Personal, stop blaming, judging, and playing victim, choosing now to begin living just lives, applying love and forgiveness for ourselves and others…trusting the creative power within us to equip us with everything we need to BE the change we want to see in our outer world, recognizing everything truly does begin with US.

 

AFFIRM:

 I am at ease with the Divine Perfection within myself and all of creation everywhere. Freedom from judgment gives me a life of peace and joy, NOW!

Ginger’s Christmas Gift

A Lesson from my Dog-Daughter

Amid the hustle-bustle of the holidays, finding time to celebrate through the acts of giving and receiving and togetherness, while still working and accomplishing the day to day tasks of living, my canine daughter gifted me in a singular moment with her divine example of the art of trusting and receiving.  

 

One day last week, I became fascinated in noticing how Ginger, (a cockapoo, precious and appealing in her apricot curls) instinctively uses the Laws of Attraction and Allowing. I watched as she went to the back door wanting to go out, the door opened and out she went. When she was finished doing “whatever”, she returned once again to the door and the door opened. Immediately, she crossed directly over to a drawer in the cabinet where there are dog treats stored, and patiently sat, while she kept her eyes trained at the treat drawer and then at me. Sitting patiently, she did not waver.  She fully expected that treat. I noticed she even got excited BEFORE I stepped toward the drawer.  As I retrieved the treat from its container, Ginger sat motionless, fully ready to accept her reward. The moment it was offered, she gently took her treat from my fingers; whereupon, she retreated to her favorite cozy spot to devour it. When her treat was eaten, she looked back at me.  With her large, brown teddy-bear eyes of trust, “GiGi” gazed into my blue eyes, casting her gratitude my way. What a great teacher she is! She fully, positively KNOWS doors and drawers open for her and she WILL get a treat!  Without hesitation, she accepted the gift she fully expected, then dutifully expressed her gratitude.

 

Standing there alone in my kitchen, amazed at my dear pet’s wisdom, I broke out in laughter at this precious example of pure unconditional love and trust, which was right beneath my nose!  Imagine, a dog, with a true knowing of her own power.  In that quiet, profound moment, I decided to be more like my dog.  I decided to live, trusting and expecting doors and drawers to open for me.  I am ready to accept those “treats” which are SURE to come.

Wake UP…you are the One you have been waiting for.

Moment by moment I am constantly practicing staying in alignment with source energy or God. This means rising above fear, stress, sadness, grief, outer appearances, and all the shadows that come up, especially those when we aren’t paying attention. I am so grateful that I have a great support system in the form of awesome spirit-minded people and that I am tuned in to my higher guidance. That guidance has brought forth many self-help tools to assist me in rapidly shifting in consciousness, one of the key factors is by practicing forgiveness and the constant awareness of who I truly am.

I believe we are going through a shift in consciousness and it is up to each of us individually to change, surrender to what is, open ourselves to infinite possibilities and be totally responsible so that shift can unfold. It is up to each one of US.

It seems to me the contrasts of life right now are really right in our face, our headlines are full of them. The deaths of Michael Jackson, and Senator Edward Kennedy bring our mortality issues up, the cruelty of that kidnapped young girl now appearing, weather conditions, heat…storms, hail, and the threat of hurricanes, pollution of our planet. Hot vs. cold, dark vs. light, death vs. life, our small separate self vs. higher divine oneness, and even the more subtle things like busy vs. quiet.

The best way to remain conscious through this unfolding transformation is to refrain from assuming we know what is supposed to be happening or how it is going to turn out. –Michael Brown

Wow, what an marvelous opportunity to shift from the victim archetype to powerful! Are you up to it…I am. Many are asleep and not wanting to take responsibility for their actions, many do not even know they are asleep. What they do feel within them is a restlessness, fearfulness, depression, and anger; all the while their hearts yearning for what they think is something outside of themselves, when in truth is all inside of them. Nothing is broken, nothing needs fixing, and all we need do is Wake Up to our Divinity. We are not separate from God/Energy; we are IT, it expressing itself. The mind which is God is the same yesterday and forever. That which seems to be a new idea to us is but our discovery of what always was. Healing and so-called demonstrations are not bringing something into being, but are an awakening to that state which has always prevailed in fact.

The song is called “Praan” which is based on a poem by Rabindranath Tagore from the Nobel prize-winning book “Gitanjali”.  The poem goes like this:

“The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.


It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth in numberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life. And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.”

Instead of watching TV…watch life, it is the best entertainment of all times! You are the star actor, become the witness and watch how your life will change.

So… You think you’re in control.

Like you, I used to think I was in control of my life; however, now  there is no doubt my only control lies in using my God-given free will to make choices about what comes up for me.  Because I would never have consciously chosen to let go of a job with Christmas just around the corner, or to have major surgery ever—much less to pay for it out of my own pocket, and NEVER would have said to myself, “Self, you’re going to marry not once, not twice, but many times, divorcing each time after years of heartache and misery, and raise three wonderful daughters without benefit of their father to help you, I know I’M not in control!

What IF you had no TV, Internet, or a land phone line? Who would you be then?

My next and most recent reminder of my ‘remaking’ was just a week ago by a physical move to a new place to live. Even though it was only four houses away from where I lived before, it felt like the Universe was conspiring against me, only I know better. At first it felt like all this was forced upon me, only I know better. Somehow I had ‘called’ it forth or attracted these circumstances so that I could get quiet and revaluate my business and personal life.

It has been only ten months ago that I moved back to Austin and now here we go again. Now what’s up with that? Well, I reminded myself I did ask to move energy and that I was ready for changes, and I am committed to The Oath. I have a high desire for stability, so ok, my landlady let me know she would be taking possession of her house when my lease was up in June. I am a shaker and a mover…OMG did I say that!! Just came out of me with no thought! OK, I accept it!

Remake Yourself…Try it~YOU CAN Do IT!

As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world… as in being able to remake ourselves.

The more I spiritually grow I find myself to be constantly remaking me–myself. What this means to me is the more I practice surrender, stay in the present moment, and open myself to my greatness, each month, week and day, the more I am not the same person I was yesterday, last week, or last month. Oh yes, I still look the same on the outside, but with each practice step I become freer to be my authentic God-self. In other words, life becomes easier and more peaceful. My struggles, fears and pains are less and less. I am able to look at the bigger picture, feel my power and see the Divine in my life, rather than be a victim.
Just recently, I had two different experiences of living in ‘the quiet’. The first one was in the form of an outer expression of that horrible flu-virus that lasted two weeks. I had flu like symptoms of chills to my bones so bad that all I could do was lay bundled up for several hours until a high fever would come on that also lasted for hours. Both of these symptoms were so extreme as to incapacitate me to the point of not being able to do much of anything, including watch TV, be on the Internet or talk on the phone. About all I could do was sleep, drink [hot for chills or cold for fever] and only eat light foods, You know the saying, ‘Starve a Fever”, Warm soup was my salvation.

Decisive Moments…Oh My God, It Really is Up to ME!

 I have come to the frightening realization that I am the decisive element.  It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. 

I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration; I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and if I humanize or de-humanize another. 

If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.

 Von Goethe’s amazing insight impacts me profoundly. Are you as amazed as I am by the infinite truth found in his ancient wisdom? A TRUTH never changes – so why does it take so long for us to fully understand or emotionally accept it? I have read this many times over during my own personal journey and its only effect was ‘words’. Today, as I read it I feel within me great emotions of understanding, love and the essence of the responsibility of the ‘I’ of me ~~ to have such power.  Humbling, frightening, and breathtaking, it brings me to my emotional knees.

If you look to the Bright Side of Life, it changes your Life.

We are in the break down phase of a great unfolding to create mass transformation from victim archetype and poverty consciousness to abundance and peace consciousness. NOW is our golden opportunity to be a part of co-creating “The New Earth” and it all begins with you. Now is the time to make a conscious choice to focus on the Bright Side of Life and not on the Shadow side of Life. This does not mean to deny the shadow rather to take notice of it and not let it live in you, but to recognize it as a gift that by choice can be shifted into brighter side of life experience.

Where are you living…in fear or on the bright side? FEAR and poverty consciousness seems to be the dominating thought of so many these days with the uncertainty of the political and financial issues that are now in our face.

Peeling the Onion by Stripping Away “Outer Appearances”

Not being fooled by the outer appearances of things and staying ‘a-breast’ of What IS!

‘My intention from now on is to expand my awareness of what is truly possible right NOW!’

Feeling much relief and an acceptance that my ‘breast experience’ is NOT who I am and only a physical manifestation of what I had been thinking and feeling in the past, I have reframed this issue as an experience in dying to myself, [my body]…in order to be IN the world…but not OF it.  I cannot tell you how many times I have read or heard that statement, yet it really never quite sank in. I can tell you that NOW it has sunk in and the mere feeling of that thought brings me immense joy and heartfelt emotions as I dissolve into ONENESS with all things.

Tuesday – Discovery

Nevertheless, my surprise was not diminished when, last Tuesday, I discovered a lump on my right breast about the size of a quarter. It was only visible when I pushed the breast to the left and was near my cleavage and heart. Imagine that, near my heart!!!
